    According to Yonhap News,

     

    Cheongdo-gun in North Gyeongsang Province held a seminar for globalization and industrialization of Yacksun(meaning medicated diet in Korean) at a conference room of the regional government building on May 13th.

     

    The seminar was attended by 60 people, including experts on yacksun. The attendees delivered presentation on and engaged in discussion about domestic and international trends on yacksun, treatment of diseases caused by dietary habits through consumption of vegetables, and establishment of a R&D center for globalization of yacksun.

     

    Before the seminar, Cheongdo-gun signed a collaboration agreement with a Yacksun Globalization team led by Daegu Haany University.

     

    Cheongdo-gun is planning to sketch out basic plans to erect an industrial complex for yacksun within this year. In addition, the regional government will set up a cluster of health-related industries during the period between 2011 and 2013 and develop education programs.
