According to Yonhap News,
Gumi in North Gyeongsang Province sends an investment promotion team to Japan for three nights and four days.
The team led by Lee Hong-hee, head of the Economy and Trade department, is planning to pay a visit to a company with a letter N, with which the city had negotiated over a possible relocation of its facilities into Gumi Part & Material Complex, and explain the investment infrastructure and incentives.
The team will visit other Japanese companies whose facilities are accommodated in the complex and encourage them to make further investments by informing them of infrastructure and incentives the complex offers. In addition, they will visit the Japan Federation of Economic Organization and the Japan Chamber of Commerce to promote the part & material complex in Gumi.
“It’s too early to release information on the possible investments as issues such as investment size are not yet confirmed,” said Ryu Si-geon, an official of the Investment and Trade division. “However, as some Japanese companies visited Gumi several times, it is highly likely that they will make an investment.”
